BILLET CYLINDERS

Our billet cylinders are made out of 100% USA 6061 - T6 aluminum. They are 100% machined in house using a high performance cast iron sleeve with a minimal of .125" wall thickness in the aluminum and the spigot thickness varies on different bore and engine combinations but is usually anywhere from .075"-.092". The sleeve is a centrifugally cast high strength gray iron. It has a lower carbon iron alloy with chromium, copper, and high nickel to produce a harder (241-293 BHN) more ware resistant surface. This yields a sleeve to that of ductile iron but with a much better ring seal and oiling capabilities. The average tensile strength (45,000-50,000 p.s.i) is 1/3 greater than "regular" iron sleeves which is what OEM use. We fit the sleeve in the aluminum .006" to .007" interference. We do offer custom engraving and powder coating. All of our cylinders are custom made to order so if you would like to order a set email us and we can send you an invoice. We do offer full kits with Pistons as well. If you're wanting to use your own pistons you can send them into us and we will finish hone the cylinders to your pistons for free.
